Massage

I use an Organic cream for my massages.

You can choose light, medium, or deep tissue massage, or a combination.

Deep gets into the deeper muscles, while Neuromuscular is for specific target areas to relieve pain.

If there is a specific condition or injury that needs to be treated/corrected, several sessions may be needed in order to retrain the soft tissue also in addition, some stretching techniques to help things move along faster. Everyone is different, so the number of sessions will differ.

Reflexology

If you were to shrink the body down and overlay it onto the feet, it would be anatomically correct.

By using the fingers, and thumb to provide finger walking to hit the pressure points in the feet, it will stimulate all the systems of the body, so that the body can heal itself, more efficiently, provided that the stress factors of life do not interfere, so depending upon how stressed you get, determines how long the benefits will last after a session.

Most people will feel very relaxed during a session and some people fall asleep.

Reflexology is a non-invasive therapy involving pressure on specific points of the feet, hands, or ears to promote overall health and wellness. Key benefits include significant stress and anxiety reduction by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, pain relief or conditions like migraines, lower back pain and arthritis, and improved blood circulation that enhances oxygen delivery to cells.

Additional advantages include better sleep quality through hormone regulation, enhanced immune function via lymphatic stimulation, and improved digestion by stimulating corresponding reflex points. While research indicates mixed quality, many studies support its effectiveness in reducing pain and improving quality of life as a complementary therapy.

For a 45-minute reflexology session or longer, the hands will be included to go back over the brain, spine, and endocrine systems. The ears will always be included for additional support for the body. If you choose to work only the ears, only 3 protocols will be available and you can choose when you come to the appointment it will be a 30-minute session.

Rossiter Stretching Technique RST

Is an intense two person stretching technique. The Coach which would be me and the Person in Charge would be you.

RST is a series of powerful and effective pin-and-stretch release techniques for addressing structural pain and restriction of movement at its source, the body’s fascia, ligaments, tendons, collagen, elastin – collectively called connective tissue. Tight connective tissue is the source of stress, immobility, and pain in the body.

RST for most people restores connective tissue to its resting length, providing pain relief, increased range of motion, improved circulation, and nerve conduction. To retrain the body to stay in a normalized state may need one or several sessions, depending on how stressed out the body is.

Most of the stretches happen while lying on the floor, so you have to be able to get down on the floor and back up on your own. Among contraindications are cancer within the past five years, surgery within six months, and a pacemaker or breast implants. Because surgery changes the natural state of the body tissue, if you’ve already had back surgery, the low-back techniques will not be effective. But you can still benefit from the upper-body stretches. Also, if you have had cortisone shot within 6 months, that area cannot be stretched, and if in the low back, no stretching for the low back.

TMJ

Most TMJ is caused by stress which the by product for most people, is clenching jaw, neck, and or upper back, and grinding of teeth during sleep due to events of the day. I help relieve some or all of the pain depending upon how compromised the jaw is.  I work the upper back, neck, shoulders face and head including the inner trigger point in the mouth. I do the trigger point last so that the relaxing of the muscles will allow the trigger point in the mouth in most cases be less painful.

If you have a severe case, the one-hour session may be more suitable. It may also take more than one session to retrain the muscles. In some cases, to retrain the muscles, you can add a few stretches to aid in the retraining and relaxing of the muscles in the area.

ADD ON’s

Foot Scrub or Back Exfoliation

Sugar granules are smaller and smoother than salt effectively sloughing off dead skin, without causing microtears or irritation, making it ideal for sensitive skin. A Natural humectant, draws moisture and locks it into the skin helping to heal cracked heels and calluses. Massaging during application stimulates blood flow which helps skin cell regeneration. By removing dead skin sugar scrubs allow lotions and oils to penetrate more deeply.

Hot Stones

Use basalt Stones (lava rock) Its attributes are Transformation, Resilience, calming, and grounding. The heat relaxes the muscles and dilates blood vessel to improve circulation which promotes oxygen and nutrient delivery.

While generally safe it is not recommended for individuals with certain skin conditions, high blood pressure or cardiovascular issues without medical clearance.

Muscle Scraping

Use of tools with beveled edges to target specific areas of the body. Applies controlled strokes over muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Helps to break down scar tissue, adhesions, and muscle knots, promoting better mobility and reducing pain. To address issues of chronic pain, limited range of motion, muscle tightness. It can be effective for conditions, i.e., Plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, and IT band syndrome. The aim is release the facia and restore optimal tissue function.

Gua Sha vs. Muscle scraping, both focus on promoting healing and well-being, Gua Sha primarily targets energy blockages and stagnation, such as lymphatic flow also helps with migraines and chronic neck pain, aiming to restore balance and vitality. Muscle scraping concentrates on breaking down scar tissue and adhesions to help improve muscle function, which enhances athletic performance and accelerates injury recovery.
